Belarusian National Association of Teachers of English

Belarus, Minsk
  Tefl Park | Teacher's Room

Belarusian Association of Teachers of English was organized at the constituent conference of teachers of English of the Republic of Belarus which took place on June 14, 1995. It brought together ELT specialists from every region of the country. They represented all levels of education: primary, secondary, tertiary. Taking into account the dramatic situation concerning availability of teachers of English in Belarus, the participants unanimously decided to establish a national professional association of teachers which was to focus on a deeper study of English and methodology of teaching English, as well as the development of contacts with educational institutions responsible for ELT all over the world, in this way contributing to mutual understanding between nations. It also aims at updating the teachers' qualifications and developing their creative potential. BelNATE members carry on research in the field of English, literature, methodology, cultural and area studies and exchange information and expertise with their colleagues in different countries.

The work of BelNATE is organized within the framework of the following special interest groups:

Business English
